Hola! St.James,
It's Sunday Sept 17th and I'm in Xunqueira de Ambia (about 15k from Vilar de Barrio, which I walked today). Got here before the rain, around 12:30 pm or so. Left off with you in Vilar de Barrio yesterday. Julia left to walk to the next town with an Albergue (where I am now), leaving me with Birgit, Vera, and Marie. Turned out to be a an excellent, very relaxing day. Typical Galician Albergue; big, lots of beds, plenty of space to sit and write or relax, absolutely clean. Had my own space for awhile, but a young man from the UK came in late. Nice guy, Ian. He was walking 36k the next day, so I will not see him again. Birgit and I found a bar to eat in, and a market, so we bought things for dinner. The market was to close at 4pm and would not be open again until Monday.
